Abstract

School safety is one of the most important aspects in the management of a school. The responsibility of this management is entrusted to the Headmaster. As such, the Headmaster's obligation to manage the safety of the primary school effectively. However, many issues that threaten the safety of students are often the case. Thus, this study was conducted to measure the level of primary security management by the Headmaster. This quantitative study was conducted in Kuala Selangor District which involved 34 schools and 306 teachers as respondents. The schools selected as this sample consist of vernacular schools namely Tamil National Type Schools (SJKT) and Chinese National Type Schools (SJKC). The data were analyzed using SPSS version 20 to obtain the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation data for descriptive analysis. For inferential analysis, independent T min tests and Hedges g tests are carried out. The findings showed that the level of primary safety management by the SJKT and SJKC Headmasters were at a high level. However, to the significant difference between the level of primary safety management by the SJKT Headmaster and Kuala Selangor District SJKC. Average mean shows the level of primary safety management by the SJKT Headmaster is lower than the level of primary safety management by SJKC Headmaster. As a conclusion, the proposed research proposal is also proposed
