Abstract

This paper is a reflection of the highlights of a study tour by the authors to Burnaby School District, British Columbia, Canada in October 2002. The study tour is part of the professional development program of Institut Aminuddin Baki (TAB). The discussion will begin with a brief description of why the Burnaby School District was selected and the traditions of leadership professional growth; secondly, the three main thrusts of the Burnaby Leadership Professional Growth Programs (The Professional Growth Plan, Peer Assisted Leadership Program and Professional Learning Communities). Finally, some reflection and personal learning obtained will be examined.
